Follow ups and Device Activation

Our little Robo-Girl :) has her activation appointment early next month!

Then 2-weeks later we will go in for another ‘ramp-up’. where the amplification will be increased. It will also be programmed to increase by itself every other week for the next month or so. It will be learning Malia’s body and brain activity all the while and giving detailed reports back to the software. Once her device is turned on we will be able to swipe over her device- right above the heart, and reduce any seizure activity!! Since her seizures happen frequently in the evenings this device also reduces her increased risk of SUDEP. Prior to this surgery she was about 1 in 10 chance for SUDEP to occur, she is now about 1 in 1,000.
